Terms and conditions

General terms and conditions

These are our general conditions applicable to all reservations. However, in the event of any exception, it will be indicated on the apartment file. The conditions of the reservation depend on the selected rate. These conditions will govern the relations between Upturn Apartments, the owner of this website (hereinafter, the COMPANY) and the provider of the services offered therein, and the people who hire them (hereinafter, the CLIENT).

 

1) Payment terms

Outstanding balance. The amount pending payment will be paid together with the deposit, with a transfer before arrival, by credit card or cash, upon arrival at the apartment.

Refundable deposit. To cover eventual damage to the apartment, upon arrival the client must pay a deposit, the amount of which is usually two months' rent.

This amount will be returned at the end of your stay, as long as all the conditions for it are met. It must be done with a credit card. If exceptionally it has been made in cash, the refund will be made by transfer and the expenses will be borne by the client.

The deposit will be retained, in whole or in part, if damage to the apartment caused by the client during their stay is found. Likewise, a surcharge will be applied when the apartment is not returned in reasonable cleanliness and order (eg displaced furniture, dirty kitchen, garbage accumulation).

 

2) Number of guests

It is forbidden to lodge in the contracted apartment a number of guests greater than that declared in the contract, unless expressly authorized and prior payment of the price increase.

 

3) Cancellation and modification of reservations

Full payment of your reservation will be made upon arrival. If you decide to leave the apartment before the agreed date, in the case of seasonal contracts, notifying one month before is sufficient.

 


4) Responsibility

Use of the apartment; the client and his companions undertake to make proper use of the rented apartment, exempting COMPANY from any liability for damages that this use may cause. Valuable items. We are not responsible for valuables that the client takes and / or deposits in the apartment. Damage caused. The client will be responsible for the damage caused to the floor, except for normal wear and tear caused by the daily use of the floor. In case of losing the keys, you will have to pay the costs derived from making copies and / or changing the lock.

 

5) Other conditions

Pets The presence of animals in the apartments is not allowed unless previously agreed.

No smoking. Smoking is not allowed in the apartments, except on balconies, terraces, patios and gardens. In case of non-compliance with this rule, a fine of up to 200 euros will be imposed to cover the costs of cleaning upholstery, curtains and bedspreads.

Specific rules of each apartment. The house rules are given on arrival and establish guidelines related to aspects of the ordinary operation of the apartment (eg keeping silence at certain hours, garbage disposal, etc.). Obviously you have to Respect these rules, which are often common sense and facilitate coexistence with other neighbors. It is important to respect the rest of the neighbors for which we ask our guests not to carry out noisy activities, especially between 22:00 and 8: 00 am It is also important to avoid all those actions that may disturb the neighbors, such as loud music, noise, etc. Parties and the entry of people not staying in the house are prohibited to respect the rest of the neighbors. It is essential make good use of the common areas or common elements of the building where the housing use is located, as well as behaving civically both in the housing for tourist use as in the building in which it is integrated "


Breach. The serious and / or repeated breach by the client of the conditions established above will grant the company the right to demand the immediate abandonment of the apartment, without any compensation.

Acceptance. Booking an apartment with us implies acceptance of these general conditions, as well as the jurisdiction and competence of the courts and tribunals of Barcelona.

Personal information. In compliance with article 5, section 1.a), of Organic Law 15/1999, on the Protection of Personal Data, we inform the client that the personal data provided to us will be incorporated into a file duly registered in the Registry established for this purpose by the Data Protection Agency, and will serve for the effective provision of the services that you have contracted. Only those employees and suppliers who must know such data in order to provide such services will have access to them. In any case, the client can exercise the rights of access, opposition, rectification and cancellation provided for in the aforementioned Law.

Arrival. The entrance to our apartments is made no later than 7pm nor before 10am.

Check out. The apartments must be vacated at the latest at 11:00 am If you want to leave the apartment later, please let us know in order to organize it, if possible.
